LOOKOUT

We wanted to make our own jerseys for the soccer team, something a little hotter than the Hanes "UrbanSoccer.com" standard issue that we'd been wearing for the past few seasons. I went home and started messing about. I wanted a word to replace the sponsor logo which goes across the mid section of the typical soccer shirt, decided on the word Lookout, which can be taken a number of ways; some good man who keeps an eye on dirt when the rest are sleeping, or in the Imperative sense, it means you better watch yourself because I'm coming through.
The other logo on most jerseys, the brand that the shirt is made of, goes over right breast. I've always been fond of Kappa, two naked ladies sitting back to back, which is extremely classy. So I tried to reference that, but with gang-hand signs from the Dragons. I mixed two signs, which, theoretically, would mean that a "payment has been correctly received."
This was a big hit, we'd flash that hand sign when trapping the ball, having received the pass from a team-mate. That had us laughing our asses off. That was about two years ago, the team is pretty much in the crapper right now. But this jersey was one of a few great things from that period.
